Registration is now open for the 2008-2009 Besh Cup ski race series. The first races are December 20 & 21 in Anchorage and Chugiak. Entry deadline is Wednesday evening, December 17th, at midnight. Current Entry List If you prefer to mail in your entry, forms can be found in the Alaska Nordic Skier newsletter or contact us and we will email them to you. |

As many of us know, Dave Feeken was an invaluable asset to the Kenai ski community for many years. He passed away on October 5, 2008 after a multi-year battle with cancer. Dave was the Chair of Cross Country Alaska's Competition Committee at the time he was diagnosed, and this oganization has missed his presence ever since. |

We are seeking an enthusiastic person to serve as a part time Executive Administrator in the CCAK.
Responsibilities include:
1) Besh Cup administration including pre-race and race day duties of registration, start list compilation, and posting race results. Post-race duties include point calculations and USSA point list postings and administration. Knowledge of nordic ski racing points systems is valuable.
2) Website posting and maintenance.
3) Communication with the press regarding CCAK races and events and communication with clubs hosting the CCAK events.

Cross Country Alaska is seeking coaches for the 2009 Alaska Junior Olympic Team. Junior Olympics will take place in Truckee, CA on March 6-15, 2009. |
